Well, this is really exciting!! This officially marks the 5th year of Presentation! Newsletter. I’ve been doing this newsletter even before All About Presentation was a real company. Over the last several weeks, I’ve had the privilege of taking time to reevaluate what I really love and things that could be better about All About Presentation. Essentially, it was time to do the strategic plan for 2012.
With this being the 5th year, I wanted to take this newsletter to the next level and really structure the content in such a way that will not only keep you engaged and entertained, but also be thoughtful and joy-provoking.
So the idea occurred to me, “why not create a series format?“e We can take all the related content that we will highlight during the year and group it together so that it is more effective and more fun to read.
Additionally, I conducted a few focus groups on what you might like to read about. So, from now until December, that is exactly what you are going to see.
At the beginning of each new series, I’ll give you an overview of what to expect & what we’re going to cover during the series. We’ll have guest writers, featured interviews, product showcases, and interesting perspectives on all things event related — and some only quasi-event related.
I don’t want to oversell this…but you’re going to love it!! Guaranteed, or your money back! As one focus group member put it…it’s like the “all grown up” version of our previous newsletters.
Without further ado, let’s jump in to the first series intro - “Vision”.

Introduction Topic: “Four Eyes”
In the fifth grade, I took my first eye exam and received my first pair of glasses.
As we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.‘s birthday this month, who certainly understood having a vision as evidenced in the famous “I Have a Dream” speech and the remarkable impacts that he made on society, we’re going to look at what it means to have a vision for your events, how impactful having a vision can be, strategies for developing a vision for your event, and how a powerful vision can lead to the success of any event.
During this series, we are going to show how proper strategic planning for your event — an event that ties into your corporate goals (or personal goals) — yields a return on investment far greater than you can imagine.
It is during this series that we hope to provide a new perspective on your events this year.
Be sure to check your inbox next week where we’ll continue in our “Vision” series with next week’s topic: “Learn. Feel. Do.“

When I put them on for the first time, I vividly remember walking out of the optometrist’s office and seeing the details of the surrounding trees for the first time. I saw how beautiful the branches were, the birds resting in the trees, and the colors of the autumn leaves with vivid clarity. It was like I lived on a different planet. I then began noticing how many other people wear glasses.
